Patty Kepenash

After having worked for the State of North Carolina Juvenile Rehabilitation system for six years, first in a field counselor position and later as Outdoor Skills Specialist and Administrative Staff management, she moved to Nantucket and created and developed Patty Kepenash Property Management, a full-service organization serving upper-level corporate executives summering and maintaining expansive summer residences year-round on the island. Her services entail caretaking, coordinating subcontractors for maintenance, and supervising renovations and new construction. She serves her clients as an on-site liaison to decorators, Town of Nantucket approval boards, architects, etc., while giving them peace of mind that their properties are well cared for and watched over. Ms. Kepenash has provided this service to a select private clientele for the past 22 years. She has also served as property manager for the showcase property of the Nantucket Historical Association, the Thomas Macy House, since its gift to the association from Oswald Tupancy in 1987. Her duties there encompass all areas of upkeep, historical documentation, and curatorial care of the contents of the home.

Ms. Kepenash is also intricately involved in the arts community of Nantucket, serving as a board member on the Nantucket Arts Council, as Chair of the Nantucket Arts Festival for four years, and as an active member of the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, Island Stage, Actors Theatre of Nantucket, and the Nantucket Community Music Center. She is a sought-after soloist for weddings and special events and is a member of the original Nantucket Noel Carolers, a Victorian quartet.

In 1978, she graduated from Appalachian State University with honors in English and Communications and a minor in Spanish. While at ASU, she served as an ambassador for the university and as a cheerleader for four years. She currently holds a license as Personal Trainer and Spinning instructor, teaching and coaching at the Nantucket Health Club.

She lives happily on Nantucket with her husband, Michael, and her menagerie of animals.
